Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

Too Many Peasants is a political clown experience and legacy play that addresses the cycle of power. The King and his Royal Court have come together to address a sudden issue that has thrown the kingdom into disarray. The audience dons the role of expectant commoners who have the opportunity to watch 4 different plays depending on which member of the court has been crowned the show before…

How do cycle’s of power stay unbroken? How are they perpetuated?

Who is the casualty?

In a world where hate is consistently humored and violence is vehemently encouraged by those who hold power, our rage and indignation has become a new normal. We wonder “how did we get this way!” and “who let this happen?” when really it was predetermined before our birth. The cycle of power continues and we acclimate (then get angry at ourselves for acclimating).

What started as a simple conversation over an interesting board game, evolved into a show we now use to reconcile with our anguish and poke fun at the ways our world works. We hope you consider the questions above with us as we unfold the layers of our show over the next coming months. As young artists, we are fascinated by the ever-growing, all consuming issue of power. Who has it and how did they get it and…why do I maybe also want it?
